01 Aug 2010
Melbourne's biggest 'Designer' open garden weekend, Garden DesignFest 2010, will be held November 13 and 14 and is a crucial date in Victoria's Spring Gardening calendar.
Melbourne’s biggest ‘Designer’ open garden weekend, Garden DesignFest 2010, will be held November 13 and 14. The Rotary Club of Kew, in association with some of Melbourne’s most notable landscape designers, proudly presents this renowned charity open garden weekend.
Now a major biennial event on Victoria’s spring gardening calendar, Garden DesignFest presents an amazing opportunity for gardeners and horticultural professionals to visit over 25 privately-owned and professionally designed gardens open across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula – all in a single weekend.
There’ll be a magnificent array of garden styles and sizes on show, from a breathtaking Mediterranean-inspired coastal retreat to an intimate series of city courtyards – Garden DesignFest 2010 will have something to suit every taste and budget, from the traditional to the cutting-edge trends in landscape design.
You’ll also be able to discuss your design issues with Melbourne’s talented designers who will be on hand to meet, greet and assist you in their respective designed gardens over the open weekend. Participating designers include Paul Bangay, John Patrick, Rick Eckersley, Jim Fogarty, Andrew Laidlaw and many other established and emerging landscape designers.
All proceeds from Garden DesignFest 2010 will be donated to selected charities (details are available on the Garden DesignFest website). The event’s major sponsor is Anston Paving.
Outdoor Design Source will have a presence at Garden DesignFest 2010 – be sure to visit us at the Christian Jenkins garden in Ivanhoe.
