DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY

Locker Group is intent on balancing design and functionality with its solar shading range adding a textural element to the language of the outdoor space.
Providing shade and protection from the harsh conditions of the sun is essential. However, the functional aspects and requirements of solar shading needn’t restrict your ability to add an aesthetic element to the landscape design.
Locker Group is always intent on balancing design and functionality, assisting the designer by providing a proven concept, with room for innovation.
Transit mesh, woven in either flat ribbon or rounded wires, can add a textural element to the language of the outdoor space. Hung horizontally, Transit can be draped between beams, billowing in the breeze. Alternatively, it can be hung in a moveable curtain to delineate spaces or provide a backdrop.
Transit meshes can also be tensioned in a full frame, or simply at two sides, to provide a strong yet permeable surface.
Transit mesh is woven in a variety of profile widths for a tight closed mesh with minimal open area, through to Transit F360 which provides great airflow through a high open area.
Pic-Perf has traditionally been used as a façade material or as a balustrade infill, however, in the landscape space it can be used for effective sun shading. Producing the image in a negative form creates beautiful shading silhouettes on the ground; a visual reference for those waiting for public transport or relaxing in the space.
Locker Group can produce expanded or perforated metal and woven wire mesh in a variety of materials, including Corten, for a rustic aesthetic; Aluminium for a durable, lightweight substrate; or Stainless Steel for a polished finish.
