Collectively the sea-life characters provide a functional and sturdy sprayground for thousands of children to adore all year round.
The sprayground items installed include:
Mud Crab | The oversized mud crab that stands centre stage of the park is geared to older aged children and is made for climbing and play within the streaming water jets that spray upward to the sky.
Loggerhead Turtle | The highly detailed finish of the loggerhead turtle is a popular sit-upon item that features a 6m spray jet extending from its mouth.
Fur Seal Pup | The cute, elegantly -dressed fur seal pup in this sprayground has whiskers that function as spray jets and is also a popular sit-upon character, adding fun and warmth to the site.
Spotted Eagle Ray| The spotted eagle ray showcases a detailed and unique skin pattern that adds a touch of class and natural sea-life wonder to the water park.
Octopus | A brightly coloured octopus reveals its true-to-life underside suction cups as it wallows in the shallow. The texture and depth of this finely detailed sculpture makes a delightfully tactile addition to the site.
Dusky Flathead | The dusky flathead that nestles in the shade near the edge of the splash pool is a life-sized cast of a very large flathead – the kind every fisherman dreams of catching.
The nature-based sculptures showcased in the Broadwater Parklands are just a few examples of Natureworks’ extensive ‘library’ of highly detailed animal replicas. All sculptures utilised have been specifically adapted so as to meet the Australian Playground Standards. Anti-slip finishes provide safe play experiences and integrally coloured polyester gel-coats ensures longevity of all the animal sculptures’ finishes.
