CelluTank®, another innovation from Elmich, provides easy to install, efficient and cost effective storm water management system.

CelluTank modular, high strength underground infiltration or re-use stormwater tanks provide an efficient at-source management system for rainwater from roofs and other impermeable surfaces such as parking areas, driveways, playgrounds and sports fields. The modules are manufactured in Australia from recycled plastics and contribute to environmental point credits on building projects.

ADVANTAGES OF CELLUTANK®
- Use under trafficable areas
- Large unit volume capacity
- Less panels to assemble compared to other products
- Fewer modules to install compared to alternative products
- Easy on-site assembly
- Interlock vertically
- Caters for insertion of base flushing pipe

‘We found that CelluTank® modules are easily assembled on site by clipping together the high strength large interlocking panels, which reduces assembly time compared to competitive products’ said Darrell Murray Principal of Underground Water Storage, a Melbourne based specialist stormwater management company.

“The large CelluTank®modules are easily handled and once positioned in-situ, produce greater stability compared to smaller competitive products and assembled units can be interlocked vertically thus ensuring the system remains stable even under trafficable areas” says Murray.

Cellutank® modules are enveloped with a high strength membrane to contain stored stormwater. The system withstands the weight of heavy equipment (above right). Stored stormwater will be used for toilets, to irrigate surrounding gardens and to supply a water feature which is positioned above the system

CelluTank® stormwater tanks are available in several load-bearing capacities and cater for the requirement of individual houses up to the largest commercial and industrial developments. The load-bearing capacity is increased with the use of additional proprietary ‘stabilizers’.
