Botton & Gardiner was a sponsor of the 2009 AILA National Conference, held May 7 - 9 at Melbournes Docklands.
Botton + Gardiner was at the AILA National Conference from May 7–9 as sponsors of the event. Held at Melbourne's Docklands, the three-day event included a day of site tours on Thursday and lectures and talks on Friday and Saturday. The event attracted 400 delegates from around Australia. Botton + Gardiner took the opportunity to talk to the nation’s landscape architecture community about its
Refurban Furniture Initiative.
Spot the Refurban Seat
There was a buzz at the company’s stand as delegates tried to figure out which of the two US1 seats exhibited was a refurbished seat. Most delegates did get the selection correct, most often after spotting the recycled logo, which is stamped on all Refurban Furniture. The company was happy to draw the three lucky winners of the competition after lunch on Saturday.
Claim Your Carbon Offset Initiative
The Claim Your Carbon Offset Scheme was also popular, with 100kg of carbon emissions being offset on behalf of each participant who signed up to the company’s eNewsletter during the event. Botton + Gardiner managed to establish five tonnes of offsets at the event; however, its target is 45 tonnes, so the scheme has been extended till the end of June 2009. Even if you are already signed up to the newsletter, enter via the Claim Your Carbon Offset page to assist with this initiative. Please encourage your colleagues to sign up as well to help Botton + Gardiner reach its target to offset 45 tonnes of carbon.
