FOREVER EDGING
16 Mar 2016
EverEdge metal garden edging is flexible and easy to install – making it the perfect product to get garden edging done right the first time so you never have to do it again.
Installing edging is one of the few gardening jobs that should only need to be done once.
Garden edging should hold its shape perfectly, regardless if you’re installing curves, angles or straight lines. It should maintain a definitive and long lasting barrier between any two elements in the garden – lawn, path, bed or pavers. An edge should give the impression that the devoted garden owner has leapt out of bed every single day of the year and enthusiastically wielded the shovel or edger to maintain that perfect border.
So how do you achieve those perfect edges and still have time to sit back and admire them?
There are many edging products on the market, and a short amount of worthwhile homework will quickly lead to some obvious conclusions. Plastic is not the best option as it neither lasts long in the ground nor stays still. Wood looks good for a short time but is open to rot or termite damage, and it is difficult to bend into curves. That leaves steel!
Steel is durable, versatile and long lasting. Steel garden edging works well in all soils, is easy to bend to any shape, and will last for generations.
EverEdge flexible steel garden edging is perfectly suited to all gardening projects whatever their size. Made from 1.6mm mild steel (90% recycled) it is quick and simple to install – just hammer it directly into the ground and it is secured by the six 9 cm long spikes that are a part of each metre length. EverEdge requires no extra pins, pegs or joiners.
Simple to curve or angle by hand, EverEdge needs no special tools. EverEdge will also maintain a perfect straight line, and since the end of each metre length is slightly offset it means that the next piece slots in completely flush.
EverEdge is used the world over by the full variety of horticultural enthusiasts, from landscaping professionals to home gardeners. Available in a range of powder-coated colours and a Cor-Ten rust finish, EverEdge will complement any type of landscape.
The galvanised and powder-coated finish is available in three different depths – 75mm, 100mm, 125mm – in both black and brown. The 75 mm depth is generally used to edge lawns, whilst the 100 mm and 125 mm depths are popular for edging flower and garden beds. However, by driving part of the actual edge into the ground past the attached spike depth, the larger edging will also provide an underground barrier for grass runners.
EverEdge’s Cor-Ten rust finish is available in 100mm and 125mm depths. It takes four weeks for the rust finish to fully develop, at which point it will stop developing and remain stable - not deteriorating further as other steel is known to do. As the colour will not leak into white pebbles or concrete finishes, the Cor-Ten rust finish is a great choice for exotic landscape designs.
