PYRUS

Pyrus is a popular choice for landscapers thanks to its stunning spring blooms and summer foliage. It makes a perfect feature tree and will give your garden colour during spring and summer. Pyrus is becoming a favourite as a street tree.

Din San stocks several varieties such as Pyrus cal. Bradford, Pyrus cal. Chanticleer, Pyrus cal. Capital, Pyrus cal. Cleveland Select, Pyrus cal. Aristocrat and more.

Pyrus can grow upwards of 10-20 metres high and to a similar width so space within a landscape is required. They are deciduous and leaves give off a small colour show before falling in autumn. Pyrus has been widely used for many years, even dating back to pre-Roman times.

Pyrus Ussriensis is the tallest of the Pyrus family, growing up to 15-20 metres in height. This tree produces hundreds of small white flowers in early spring and dark green foliage in summer before turning red in early autumn.

Pyrus is one of the hardiest and easiest to grow of all garden trees, able to tolerate low levels of drought, wet sites including clay and can adapt to a wide range of soil types.
