THE BUDDY BENCH

Draffin have developed the “Buddy Bench”, a tool to help kids at school who are lonely and want to make friends but are unsure how.

The schoolyard can be a tough place for children, especially those who are shy, and often kids can forget to think about others and how they are feeling. The Buddy Bench provides a place for kids to sit and send out a visual signal to others that they would like friendship or somebody to play with.

Utilising fun, bright colours, this visual signal encourages children to be conscious about those around them and practice inclusiveness, as well as to take the step of asking for or offering friendship.

The Draffin Buddy Bench is the most durable on the market. Super heavy duty galvanised steel frames, anodised aluminium planks and stainless-steel fasteners ensure it is extremely strong and corrosion resistant. The seat is finished with highly durable powdercoat in Yellow Gold and Deep Purple (the colours of the Buddy Program). The signage is digitally printed Hi-Tac industrial vinyl. Draffin have then gone one step further to cover the entire bench with an industrial clear wrap to ensure that the vinyl cannot be picked off, ensuring it stays as pristine as possible throughout the conditions.
