Ballast Point Park is situated in the inner west of Sydney. A former Caltex tank farm, the area was transformed into a public park in 2009. Welded gabion panels are 100mm x 50mm aperture size in 3.15mm diameter Galfan coated wire. The rock used was mostly made from the recycled tank farm buildings and crushed brick. Gabion supplied by Permathene with construction by Collective Civil, landscaping by Landscape Solutions, design services by McGregor Coxal, structural engineering by Northrop.
