PAVING | LARGE FORMAT AND CUSTOMISED STEP TREADS AND STAIRS

We also specialise in making pavers that are out of the ordinary. Recently as part of the Qld Children’s Hospital project we cast some pavers that had been designed by a local artist. They supplied a lino cut “Turtle” design that we cast rubber moulds from and then cast the green round pavers.

The large “Liquorice” coloured pavers were individually cast with Stainless steel lettering that once installed at the Australian Catholic University spelled out a meaning full message. Each paver was cast to a specific length to incorporate each word.

We have now completed 3 large projects for Thiess including the latest project of 968 step treads for 6 new railway stations in Brisbane area. We cast these latest ones up the right way so we could broom finish for a non-slip surface. Also cast in a recess for the safety nosing on the front of each step.
