PYALONG POLICE STATION

by Adbri Masonry

The Pyalong Police Station in Central Victoria has utilised over 15,000 of Adbri Masonry’s Architectural Brick in a variety of textures and colours to achieve a truly contemporary design.

The $750,000 project created a modern and environmentally-sustainable station and was designed by JLM Architects. JLM chose to use Adbri bricks following the success of the Axedale police station, a project which was also designed by JLM using Adbri bricks.
The new station is a significant improvement on the old structure which was built in 1972 and was never designed as a police station. The use of environmentally sustainable design features aimed to reduce both the station’s impact on the environment and running costs. The station is an important development in attracting and retaining top quality officers to the area as well as ensuring there is a viable permanent police presence in the community.

“Adbri Masonry was pleased to be part of such a noteworthy project which showcased the quality and aesthetic appeal of these premium architectural bricks which were produced in our Bendigo production facility,” explained Adbri Masonry’s Marketing Manager, Karl Wood.
