Torsten Frank, long standing proxy of Corocord, the world leading company in rope play equipment personally shot this impressive video during a business trip down-under recently. “The domes are incredibly versatile as they can accommodate so many children whilst still providing numerous challenges” said Sue Simpson, Managing Director – KOMPAN Australia. “The domes have made a big impact on the kids as it offers an ideal solution for areas where space is limited. The height of the dome means it can pack in a variety of different play activities for a large number of children into a relatively small footprint”.
Designed to accommodate the enthusiastic curiosity that dominates the mind of children above 5 years, the Explorer Dome inspires children to use their creativity when playing. With its organic design children will be invited to climb into an exciting world and discover the many challenges of the Explorer Dome, where each attempt reveals a new adventure.
"The global success of the Corocord Domes show that our designers and engineers have once again proved themselves to be trendsetters for the entire industry with this innovative concept", said Torsten Frank. “The Explorer Dome offers a diverse set of activities to embrace the child’s creative mind. There are bridges to cross, ladders to climb and new levels to reach. Through these seemingly tangled parts, children can create their own routes – low to the ground or high in the sky. If they get tired, they can rest in the comfortable play shell while gathering their strength for the next adventure around the Explorer Dome”.
The first Explorer Dome developed in Germany, which was erected in Wunstorf near Hanover, was handed over to the excited schoolchildren in the middle of September 2010. "The children love the Domes! Thanks to the clever dome design, the thematic equipment can be accessed from all sides thereby encouraging creative play" said Maria Molina, head of sales & marketing for Corocord.
