MIKE’S MINI BREXIT
27 Apr 2017
Former Detective Constable Mike Langsford will join the ranks of CCEP and the PlaySafety Training Group as a professional Playground Consultant, bringing with him over 10 years of international play safety experience.
Few can claim a work record that includes attaining the rank of Detective Constable with the West Midlands Police before moving on to private enterprise as the owner/manager of a Public House and restaurant, and then acting as an International Project financial advisor in Turkey, China and Ireland. But Mike Langsford had achieved all of that before joining Birmingham City Council in 2002.
Mike joined Birmingham City Council as the project manager for the award-winning Safer Neighbourhood Initiative before moving on to become the National Development Officer for the charity National Playing Fields Association. It was the beginning of his ongoing passionate involvement with PlaySafety.
In 2008, Mike became a Director and shareholder of Playbrokers Ltd. As an RPii registered Level 3 Annual Inspector, Mike carried out inspections on play areas for RoSPA Play Safety Ltd and The Play Inspection Company, along with accident investigations, project planning and the installation and maintenance of play and sports facilities, including skate parks and multi-user games areas. Mike also commenced the training and examination of Routine and Operational Level inspector candidates.
Now, in his own mini ‘Brexit’, Mike has departed PlaySafety and is offering his skills, experience and multi-textured international industry knowledge, in conjunction with his indepth understanding of Australian conditions and standards, as a professional consultant.
Britain’s loss is our gain! In association with CCEP and the PlaySafety Training Group, Mike Langsford is now available as a professional Playground Consultation. Contact 1300 595 752 or 0421 491 181 to enlist Mike’s services.
