Mark Perriman Landscapes: Sustainable prestige landscapes - crafted with respect and integrity
Project Location: Bulimba
Design stage: Began July 2010.
Construction Finished: Aug/Sept 2011
Here is a project that has been recently completed by Mark Perriman Landscapes at Bulimba. The clients wanted to update their entire exteriors.
This Brisbane riverfront home has had a major update of its entire outdoor area, which took a little more than a year to complete. Pavers were removed, the pool fencing replaced, the pool itself renovated and the outdoor living area, which opened off the living room and kitchen, was converted into a brand-new outdoor room complete with a cooking facility.
Outdated terracotta tiles were replaced with French modular ‘limestone’ tiles and together, with new glass pool fencing, introduced a light, modern look following a complete pool renovation. The original pebble interior of the pool was removed and ‘Aqua Neon’ blue-glass bead finish applied, together with new waterline tiles.
To the very rear of the property, the seawall was raised with sandstone blocks and on the rear terrace, new raised garden beds installed.
Timber lattice was replaced with aluminium shutters to the side of the outdoor living room, to create a space where the owners can control the elements and keep their outdoor room clean, dry and shaded.
Where there was a small deck off the kitchen with steps down to the outdoor area, Mark created space for an efficient and streamlined outdoor kitchen.
At the front of the home, continuity has been created through the installation of the same new limestone pavers to the paths at the front of the house. The base of the front verandah was also rebuilt, and the new tiles were introduced there.
