A completely new series of slim tubular lighting columns has been introduced by Thorn Lighting.
Called the Alumet range, the new luminaires provide what is probably the most comprehensive and flexible system of its kind ever offered to architects and planners.
Alumet comes in four variants: the Classic with an opal diffuser; the Control Direct and Indirect lanterns use sophisticated optics to cut upward light to less that three per cent of output and Alumet Stage has multilayered directional spotlights for that added element of drama. The spotlights take white or coloured 17W LEDs and 35W HIR-CE 111 lamps.
An external lampshield (180 degree) with arabesque or perforated mesh patterns adds further flexibility.
Versatile in performance and applications, timeless in design and impressively flexible in the variety of combinations available, Alumet has the great advantage of lighting not just the pavement but the surrounding trees and buildings too.
The linear columns are an ideal lighting solution for pedestrian spaces, defining direction, influencing behaviour, revealing architecture and providing comfort and safety.
Alumet, versatile, timeless, flexible.
