FRAMING THE VISTA

Unique and contemporary modular screening from OUTDECO® has transformed a private residence on the Mornington Peninsular, perfectly grounding the indoor-outdoor aesthetic.
A private residence located in the iconic suburb of Oliver’s Hill on the Morning Peninsula is the epitome of the sun-drenched beachside lifestyle. Its contemporary design incorporates a pool and entertaining terrace that overlooks Frankston Beach, with 180 degree views across Port Phillip toward Melbourne.
The unique terraced property required a distinctive screening treatment in order to preserve the indoor-outdoor lifestyle evoked by the house and still provide privacy and durability.
With narrow terraced areas flanking either side of the house, OUTDECO® screening was utilised to define the transitions from entrance to interior and poolside terrace, and create boundaries for the property.
OUTDECO®’s unique hardwood screens are specifically engineered and tested for Australia’s harsh climate, and come in a range of architectural finishes to suit any design. The Oliver’s Hill property, with its urban design surrounded by natural elements, required a natural finish that would complement the abundance of timber used in the terraced areas and a unique design that would make the screening a standalone feature.
The OUTDECO® screens were used to great effect on the Oliver’s Hill property, and were perfectly matched to the architectural flair of the home, grounding the elemental aesthetic into the landscape and making the most of a stunning vista.
