BILLMANS FOUNDRY MAKING ITS MARK!
01 Oct 2009
Billmans Foundry has grown from producing castings for local areas to distributing a wide range of products across Australia and overseas.
Since its humble beginnings in a small tin shed on the outskirts of Castlemaine, Victoria, father and son team Gerald and Max Billman have taken Billmans Foundry from a part time business producing castings for the local area to now distributing a wide range of products across Australia and overseas.
This hands-on family business boasts over 100 years of moulding experience and can produce quality products large and small.
Billmans employ on average 10 -14 employees and have served regional cities throughout Australia and overseas with the production of light columns, bollards and seating. Billmans have reproduced large municipal fountains for the cities of Mildura, Bendigo and Daylesford. Other projects include Gates for Singapore; over 2000 bells weighing up to 3 tonnes for the Federation Festival; Sculptures for John Fasham; Julie Squires; and Fred White just to name a few.
Using age-old methods to create moulds from hard sand, green sand or lost wax ceramic shell in a variety of metals, Billmans Foundry is able to produce quality products.
Billmans produce Australia’s largest range of bronze fountains and have an extensive range of light columns, street and park furniture and veranda posts. The company also specialises in heritage reproductions.
