Australia’s key gardening associations have endorsed the inaugural Australian Garden Show Sydney.
Australia’s key gardening associations have endorsed the inaugural Australian Garden Show Sydney. Included in the line-up so far is the Nursery & Garden Industry, NSW & ACT Ltd (NGINA), the Australian Institute of Horticulture Inc. (AIH), the Horticultural Media Association of NSW (HMANSW), the Landscape Association NSW & ACT (LNA), the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM) and Cultivate NSW.
Organisers, AGB Events, have already confirmed display garden participation from Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner Tom Harfleet, three times UK Designer of the Year, Andrew Fisher-Tomlin and France’s vertical garden expert Patrick Blanc at the event to be held 5-8 September in Centennial Park
“With today’s emphasis on domestic productive gardens and the importance of healthy urban environments, a major horticultural exhibition such as the Australian Garden Show Sydney is a timely event,” said AIH President Annette Irish.
“This show is different in that it first aims to inspire in a very practical way, educate in both an entertaining and specialist manner as well as being in a very special location that is the heart and lung of Sydney,” said NGINA CEO David Foster.
This overwhelming support establishes the Australian Garden Show Sydney as an important catalyst for the horticulture industry to build its business base. Signed associations will also have the opportunity to participate in the display gardens and connect with target audiences by promoting their services.
“Inspiration always leads to action and the Australian Garden Show has assembled an inspirational team. Our members will benefit from both being part of the show and the outcomes that will flow from it,” said Foster.
