ALL-ACCESS BARBECUE ARRIVES
20 April 2016
Christie Parksafe’s new all-access barbecue makes cooking in parks and open spaces for those less able a safer and easier way to interact with others and enjoy the great outdoors.
The new A-Series benchtop from Christie Parksafe has arrived. The all-access barbecue designed for parks and open spaces is both wheelchair friendly and child-safe. The hotplate has been positioned so those confined to wheelchairs can cook with ease, but is also far enough away that hazards such as hot surfaces are out of the reach of children.
Being a truly ‘all-abilities’ barbecue creates opportunities for greater social inclusion and allows all park users to enjoy the Australian tradition of cooking outdoors in public spaces.
The A-Series benchtop from Christie Parksafe has the DDA guidelines stamp of approval for wheelchair access as well as strict safety and food hygiene standards for general public use. The barbecue is hard wearing, standing up to the challenges unique to public installations while the contemporary design will allow the unit to blend seamlessly into any architecturally designed space.
