Landscaping Australia Inc. was founded to create a professional organization for Australian landscape architects on a national basis, with representation in each state. The organization has identified ten specific issues that it needs to address, and implemented five task forces to help ensure that those issues are addressed within each area of Australia.
The first issue Landscaping Australia Inc. wants to address is the creation of a central contact point and portal for communication to make consumers, government entities and businesses aware of what the organization is about and what members can offer. A second goal is to provide sufficient government lobbying to facilitate positive change in environmental controls and sustainability within the landscaping industry in Australia.
Management of water and other natural resources is also an important concern to Landscaping Australia Inc. and the organization has taken steps to ensure that members are positioned at the forefront of this movement. In addition, education and skill development tools have been created for members to ensure that all professionals within the organization are able to develop the required skills.
Of course, Landscaping Australia Inc. has also developed industry-best licensing requirements which ensure that all members possess the skills, knowledge and drive to provide consumers, government bodies and municipal entities with ecologically sound, environmentally friendly planning and implementation. Lastly, the organization is dedicated to ensuring that innovation research and development are ongoing, resulting in the best possible management and conservation techniques.
Members of Landscaping Australia Inc. enjoy numerous benefits, including access to some of the most prestigious conferences in the industry, ongoing education, training and information about new innovations and development in the industry and other benefits. National members of the organization are also eligible for membership in participating entities, which can ensure better marketing of skills and better peer collaboration.
