Kidsafe Playground Advisory Services
Child safety is paramount when designing and maintaining a playground. Designing playgrounds for children is exciting and rewarding. Australian Standards for playgrounds exist and are a good reference for designers, manufacturers, owners and operators.
The Kidsafe Playground Advisory Services are a valuable resource to assist designers to ensure safety, manage risk and provide inspirational, challenging and educational spaces to play.
Kidsafe is an independent, not-for-profit, charitable organisation dedicated to preventing unintentional death and serious injury to children. Kidsafe advocates on child safety issues and undertakes public awareness campaigns. It provides information and guidance to parents and carers, education and care services, schools, government and non-government agencies, community organisations, industry and individuals.
The Kidsafe vision, ‘A Safer World For Kids', aims to minimise risks that can lead to injury in children aged 0 - 15 years. Kidsafe is a national organisation with offices in each state and territory.
