Swiss made, and extremely robust whilst surprisingly light, their unique roll-lever system translates every 10kg effort on the handles into a massive 260kg force in the cutting head.
These anvil-cut loppers were designed for the toughest environments and were tested over two pruning seasons in Polish apple orchards and Italian kiwi vines. “The Polish winter is very severe, the cold makes the wood very hard, which presents an ideal testing ground for the robustness and durability of the tool” says Rémy Favre, Director of Felco Australia.
“The Italian kiwi growers work overhead most of the time, and that was the environment we needed to test the tool’s ergonomics and low-weight features. We have been extremely pleased with the results. The roll-lever is a significant improvement on all existing systems, the lightness of the tool at just over 1kg is astounding, and Australia gets to be the first market to access this exciting addition to our range”.
The new loppers are available in two versions: the straight-anvil Felco 230 and the curved anvil Felco 231. Both models are backed by a full range of spare parts and are available nationally through a network of rural stores and horticultural distributors.
