Sydney Water Corporation’s new headquarters has recently moved to a state of the art office building with parking spaces for over 500 vehicles. HydroSTON permeable pavers are used extensively to reduce stormwater run-off, filtrate water to landscaping and tree plantings, and improve root zone aeration. Development at the Potts Hill Reservoirs site near Bankstown was undertaken by Brookfield Multiplex with landscape design by Aspect Studios.
Impervious surfaces increase stormwater runoff and the transportation of pollutants into natural waterways. HydroSTON permeable pavements allow rain and stormwater to permeate into the ground as occurs naturally in rural and undeveloped environments. Infiltration ‘at source’ reduces stormwater runoff, improves water quality, supplements groundwater and lowers temperature in densely settled urban areas.
HydroSTON pavers are 100% porous, durable, non-slip and suitable for pedestrian, traffic, industrial and commercial applications. HydroSTON pavers can also be used for stormwater harvesting and reuse and are available in a range of shapes, sizes and colours.
