Fine Bedding Concrete (FBC) is a Portland cement-based powder mix which is polymer reinforced. The mix design includes special powerful plasticising agents which produce a workable mortar suitable for bedding paving units. The low water requirement enables the placed mortar to rapidly develop the compressive strength required to support the placed paving elements.
Supplied ready mixed either in bulk or 20kg bags, FBC should be used in conjunction with Parex Streetscaping Granatech, to provide a fully compliant bedding and jointing system for hard landscaping products. The pre-blended product is ready for onsite mixing and only requires the measured addition of water. The resulting mixes have good freeze-thaw stability and are resistant to oil and many chemical environments. Placement thickness may be in the nominal range 30mm to 50mm in a single layer.
