A new and exciting event for the turf industry called Turf Alive will be held on May 17 at Castle Hill Showground, Sydney. It is a joint venture between Sports Turf Association NSW,NSW Turf Growers and NSW Bowling Greenkeepers Association.
There’s a new and exciting event for the turf industry called Turf Alive to be held on May 17 at Castle Hill Showground, Sydney. Designed for anyone managing or working on sports turf, the event is a joint venture between Sports Turf Association NSW, NSW Turf Growers and NSW Bowling Greenkeepers Association.
The event aims to promote, educate and unite the turf industry of NSW, and will feature seminars, workshops, a trade expo and demonstrations.

Not only will Turf Alive feature a wide range of turf industry exhibitors and presentations on the latest industry information, the event will also include Turf Streams specific to bowling, golf, sportsfield and turf growers.
Topics to be covered on the day include:
Update on the dreaded Black Fungus 1 and Yellow Kikuyu disease
Turf Mites – are they biting you?
How have Queensland sports facilities recovered from the floods?
What's the latest irrigation technology and turf machinery?
Plenary Session keynote speakers include Dr Percy Wong, who will discuss his research progress on both Kikuyu Yellows and Black Fungus; and Shane Biddle, the Senior Supervisor Grounds for the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus.
Presenting workshops on the day will be Bayer Environmental Science (Turf Herbicide), Globe Equipment Solutions (Turf Equipment), and Toro (Water Efficient Technology).
Turf Alive is an AGCSA accredited event. All AGCSA members attending the event will receive 4 accreditation points.
